New website... again!

I don’t know if you have noticed some subtle changes to the site. I decided to migrate the old site made with Joomla to this one made with WordPress. The reason of the change is that for the kind of contents I offer, WordPress fits the bill. Besides it has native comments support, so I don’t depend on a third party plugin that is not maintained anymore and prevented me from updating Joomla from version 1.5 to 1.7.

The migration wasn’t as easy as I would have liked, but it was expected. Migrating Joomla fro m1.5 to 1.7 was already a pain in the ass and caused hundreds of errors, migrating to a completely different system like WordPress wasn’t going to be easier. Luckily there’s a plugin that allowed me to transfer all posts easily (though I did have to fix a lot of links). However I had to add all comments manually, one by one, editing the database directly, to preserve dates and everything.

And since I did the migration, I had to also create a new design. And this is the result. It’s not finished and it lacks some details, and maybe there are some bugs. But I will be fixing those if I’m motivated.

I will update with new translations and romhacks that I should have posted long time ago.
